Macie Page Claims Third Consecutive Ladies World Helice Championship

Page

Page dominates international competition in Portugal with five Ladies titles and a fourth-place overall Beretta Cup finish

Three years. Three World Championships.

B&P Pro Team shooter Macie Page continued her remarkable run at the top of international Helice competition, capturing her third consecutive Ladies Helice World Championship during the 2026 World Helice Championship competition in Braga, Portugal.

The World Championship victory – following titles in 2024 and 2025 – headlined an extraordinary week for Page. In addition to successfully defending her world title, she claimed first place in the Ladies Grand Prix ChampionshipLadies Portuguese Cup ChampionshipLadies President’s Cup, and Ladies Beretta Cup—leaving Portugal with five ladies titles from a remarkable week of international competition.

Page also demonstrated that her performance extended well beyond the Ladies division, finishing an impressive fourth overall in the main event of the Beretta Cup against the full international field.

Page saved one of her strongest performances for the biggest stage, breaking 29 of 30 targets to claim the Ladies World Championship. The victory further establishes Page as one of the most accomplished and consistent Helice competitors in the world.

“Macie’s performance in Portugal was nothing short of exceptional,” said Christian Hogg, Director of Marketing for B&P. “Winning a World Championship is an incredible accomplishment on its own, but to sweep five Ladies titles over the course of the competition speaks volumes about her talent, preparation, consistency, and ability to perform under pressure. We couldn’t be prouder to have Macie representing B&P and demonstrating what is possible when an elite competitor has complete confidence in herself and her equipment.”

A member of the B&P Pro Team since 2023, Page has steadily established herself among the premier Helice competitors in the United States and internationally. Her specialty demands exceptional concentration, reaction time, and consistency as shooters contend with the erratic flight characteristics that distinguish Helice targets from traditional clay-target disciplines.

Throughout her rise in the sport, Page has relied on B&P competition shotshells, pairing world-class shooting ability with ammunition engineered for the consistency, target-breaking performance, and manageable recoil demanded by high-volume competitive shooting.

“There is something incredibly special about winning a World Championship, and I don’t think that feeling ever gets old.”, says Page. “Coming to Portugal as the defending champion brings its own kind of pressure, so to win for the third year in a row means a tremendous amount to me. I felt confident in my shooting throughout the week, and being able to put together strong performances across so many different events made this one I’ll always remember. I’m grateful to everyone who has supported me and especially to B&P for continuing to believe in me. I have complete confidence every time I step into the ring.”

With World Championship victories in 2024, 2025 and now 2026, Page’s latest performance moves beyond a single championship moment. It represents a sustained run of excellence at the highest level of international Helice competition—and further establishes her among the sport’s premier competitors.

Frederick Beesley Opens a British Workshop and a Kings Road Shopfront

The 1879 name takes a bench in South Wales, where every Beesley will now be finished and regulated, and a Chelsea gunroom that doubles as a club for Beesley owners

beesley Cover

CHELSEA, LONDON — 3 September 2026 — Frederick Beesley, the London gunmaking name founded in 1879, has opened a workshop in South Wales and a shop at 488 Kings Road in Chelsea. Every gun the house builds will now be finished, regulated and signed off on its own British bench, and sold from its own London door.

The workshop is run by Scott Morgan, Head Beesley Gunsmith, a trained engineer by trade who learned his gunsmithing at UK Gun Repairs in Somerset and has been at the bench for twenty years. The work is overseen by Brad Davis, Head of Production, who represented Great Britain for over a decade at world-class level in the Olympic shotgun disciplines and brings an unusually deep understanding of sporting shotguns, and by Tom Ward, director of the house. The bench will also carry out repair, servicing and regulating for clients of Beesley and its sister house, London Gun Company, on guns of any make.

Beesley guns are designed, specified and controlled by the house, gun by gun rather than to a standard pattern. Actions and barrels are built in Italy to that specification, each gun a unique project. Every gun is now finished and regulated at the South Wales workshop — which means the bench that brings a new gun to its final specification is the bench that will service it for the rest of its working life.

Beesley has until now occupied a space within London Gun Company’s shop at 498 Kings Road. At 488 it takes premises of its own — the first London address given over to Beesley guns alone since the firm left 2 St James’s Street in 1939. The premises carry Beesley guns and nothing else: the full range on view, and the room in which a client designs and orders their own. It is also a club for Beesley owners, with a bar and a cigar lounge, where members can bring guests and spend an evening among other people who shoot. London Gun Company’s shop further along the Kings Road continues to handle the armoury, servicing, valuations and sales across all makes.

The house’s sporting agency has been named the Beesley Sporting Agency and is headed by Miles Orford, who joined in 2020 and arranges in excess of 100 days a year across Britain, Europe, the Americas and Africa. Each day is curated around the client — quarry, location and accommodation, transport, permits and ammunition, and where it is called for, helicopters, cigars, socks and toothpaste. Clients are welcomed at 488 Kings Road to plan a season or a trip in person. Between the gunroom, the club and the agency, a client can commission a gun, store it, maintain it and arrange the days it is used on from a single address.

In the United States, F. Beesley USA is run from Manhattan by Ian Harrison, formerly director of Beretta’s premium gun division, who was appointed VP of North American Sales in May 2025. He is a salaried employee of the house rather than an agent or distributor, covering the country in person, handling both sales and aftercare for American clients, and representing Beesley at the essential American exhibitions — Safari Club International and Dallas Safari Club — and at private events through the season.

“A gun finished on our own bench is a gun we can stand behind without qualification, and one we can look after for the rest of its life,” said Tom Ward, director of Frederick Beesley and London Gun Company. “The Kings Road is the other half of it — our owners have known each other for years and had nowhere to sit down together. We needed both, and now we have them.”

Frederick Beesley was the author of some twenty-five patents, among them the 1880 self-opening action that James Purdey still builds today, and around 1,800 guns were made under his name. The firm ceased production in 1937 and the name passed through other hands for much of the century that followed. In 2014 Tom Ward and his father Gary acquired it outright — the name, the order book, the Royal Warrant and the archive — and returned it to production.

Depending on the brief, a new Beesley can take up to a thousand hours of handwork and twelve months from order to delivery, with the client’s specification shaping the gun throughout.

Sept. 3, 2026 — Beretta announces the launch of the Daybreak Upland Collection, a new line of technical hunting apparel designed to provide lightweight protection, mobility, breathability and durability for upland hunters throughout the season.

The Retay Ace Semi-Auto: The New Kid on the Block

Ace

August 19, 2026 — Easton, Maryland — In the world of semi-automatic shotguns, a new player has been turning heads and earning rave reviews. The RETAY ACE, with its impressive blend of innovative features, stellar performance, and an unbeatable price point, is quickly becoming a top contender for the title of “best in class.” This isn’t just another shotgun; it’s a testament to what’s possible when cutting-edge technology meets a dedication to quality and customer satisfaction.

Performance That Rivals the Best

The RETAY ACE is more than just a good-looking gun. It’s built for performance, and the reviews from hunters and sport shooters alike are a testament to its capabilities. At the heart of the ACE is RETAY’s patented Inertia Plus™ bolt system. This isn’t your average inertia action. It features a torsion spring that pushes the bolt into full battery, effectively eliminating the dreaded “inertia click” misfire that can occur with other shotguns when the bolt is accidentally jarred. This means reliable cycling and a quiet operation, giving you confidence in the field.

But the innovation doesn’t stop there. The ACE also boasts a “Dead Straight” Deep-Bore Drilled Barrel and a factory-lengthened forcing cone. This combination is engineered to deliver improved patterns and consistent performance. In fact, RETAY claims this technology results in more pellets in the kill zone and a remarkable 67% improvement in shot-to-shot consistency.

What’s more, the ACE addresses a common complaint of inertia guns by reliably cycling light loads, a feature that makes it incredibly versatile for everything from clay shooting to dove hunting.

Unbeatable Value and Features

One of the most compelling aspects of the RETAY ACE is the incredible value it offers. While it packs features typically found on shotguns priced significantly higher, the ACE sits in a price range that makes it accessible to a wider range of shooters. You get a lot of gun for the money, and that’s a point that resonates with many in the firearms community.

The ACE also comes loaded with features that enhance the user experience. The trigger group can be easily removed with a single push button, making cleaning in the field or at home a breeze. The crossbolt safety is reversible for left-handed shooters, and the gun has an enlarged bolt handle and closer for easy operation with gloves in cold weather. Plus, RETAY has wisely adopted the popular Benelli Crio-choke pattern for the ACE, giving owners a wide array of aftermarket choke options.

Retay ACE ConfigurationMSRP
ACE Black Synthetic$1,049
ACE Camo — Bottomland / Max-7$1,149
ACE-R Black Synthetic$1,049
ACE-R Camo$1,149
ACE Walnut$1,149
ACE Upland Ultralight$1,199

A Warranty That Shows Confidence

Perhaps the strongest statement RETAY makes about the quality of their product is their Limited Lifetime Warranty. This warranty covers the firearm’s materials and workmanship for the original purchaser for as long as they own the gun. It’s a clear signal that RETAY stands behind their shotguns and is committed to providing peace of mind to their customers. While the warranty doesn’t cover things like finishes or normal wear and tear, it demonstrates a level of confidence in the core mechanics of the firearm that is hard to ignore.

In a market crowded with options, the RETAY ACE shotgun is earning its reputation for a reason. It’s a shotgun that performs at a high level, is packed with user-friendly features, and is backed by a warranty that gives buyers confidence in their investment. If you’re in the market for a new semi-auto, the RETAY ACE is more than worth a look—it’s the best shotgun you can buy for the money.
