H H Gun

For immediate release, London

Holland & Holland, the pre-eminent British gunmaker since 1835, is proud to announce the relocation of its St James’s Gunroom and retail boutique to an elegant new, combined premises in the heart of St James’s. The move brings together the brand’s London gunroom and retail offering under one roof, in the distinguished former home of Williams Evans.

This considered relocation marks a significant milestone in the continued evolution of the Holland & Holland brand. By uniting its bespoke firearms, sporting lifestyle collections and client services within a single, enhanced environment, the company reaffirms its commitment to craftsmanship, heritage and the enduring relationships that have defined it for nearly two centuries.

St James’s has long been synonymous with British excellence, discretion and tradition, all qualities that lie at the heart of Holland & Holland. The new premises, located moments from the company’s historic London roots, provides an expanded and refined setting in which clients can experience the full breadth of the brand’s offering: from bespoke and pre-owned firearms to shooting accessories, country clothing and curated lifestyle pieces. The transition reflects both continuity and renewal, honouring the heritage of London gunmaking while investing in its future.

Holland & Holland General Manager, John Henderson comments: “The new combined space has been thoughtfully designed to enhance the client journey. Private consultation areas, an elegant gunroom display and an elevated retail environment will allow Holland & Holland to deliver the highest standards of personal service, craftsmanship and discretion for which it is renowned worldwide.”

As a Royal Warrant holder and one of Britain’s most iconic sporting houses, Holland & Holland continues to strengthen its brand equity by balancing tradition with considered modernity. This relocation underscores the brand’s long-term confidence in St James’s as the spiritual home of fine gunmaking and British luxury.

The new St James’s Gunroom and Retail Boutique will open to clients later this season. Further details, including opening celebrations, will be announced in due course.

The Latest Third-Generation Galazan Over & Under

Galazan OU 2

Tony Galazan has announced his 3rd-generation pinless automatic over-under shotgun. While a pinless design actually does have pins, they do not protrude through the lock plate, leaving the gun with an unobstructed surface for engraving. This “best” full sidelock shotgun is joined to the combination chopper lump and sidelump barrels, by means of a bifurcated lockup system, arguably the most elegant and smoothest means of opening and closing a fine shotgun. Additionally, the lock bridals are integral to the lockplates, providing an unmatched level of rigidity to the mechanism. The stock is attached to the action with a patented system that is far superior to any other “best” gun, which instead relies on a tang screw to do the same. In fact, this patent has already been successfully defended by CSMC against another maker.

The lockplates themselves open automatically when actuated by the shooter. This is a great benefit because the locks can be lubricated, inspected, and maintained without disassembly. Another technical advancement of the Galazan 3rd Generation shotgun is the use of rubies on the bearing surfaces, which reduce friction. This is very similar to the jeweled movements found in fine mechanical watches. Additionally, the Galazan 3rd Generation shotgun is available with a titanium frame as an option.

Because these guns are fully bespoke to the customer’s requirement, the combination of features and options is almost limitless. These features and options include a single trigger, double trigger, custom stock dimensions, customer-selected wood, and virtually any type of engraving. These guns are also available in 12, 16, 20, 28, and .410, all on scaled frames.

Galazan started the first workshop in the garage of his fathers 3 family home in New Britain, CT and in 1975 and subsequently as the company grew CSMC moved into the old meat packing factory on the east side of the city. In 2001, the factory moved again to its current Burritt Street location, where the new building encompasses 100,000 square feet of gun manufacturing. In this progression, the company has become vertically integrated to produce its shotguns completely under one roof, where every last detail of each “best” bespoke shotgun is ultimately controlled by Tony Galazan himself. His ethos, which on paper may be simple but in practice is very complex, is to produce the most robust and reliable shotgun in the world whilst maintaining the very highest level of elegance and beauty.

Delta Waterfowl Begins Predator Management Work to Increase 2026 Duck Production

Delta

Although snow and ice still have a firm grip over most of the prairie pothole region, field work has started for Delta’s Predator Management Program in preparation for the 2026 duck nesting season.

March 23, 2026 — Delta’s team of professional trappers has begun working at 51 sites in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, North Dakota, and South Dakota, key areas that serve as vital nesting grounds for North American waterfowl. Up to 70% of the continent’s ducks hatch in the PPR, which is often referred to as “North America’s Duck Factory.” Millions of ducks hatched in the region migrate through all four flyways each fall and winter.

“Our efforts in the PPR give hens a leg up to produce a successful nest,” said Mike Buxton, waterfowl programs director. “Fewer predators on the landscape gives more ducks a fighting chance to make it to the fall flight.”

Delta’s proven Predator Management Program is a targeted approach to increase nest success, adding hundreds of thousands of ducks to every fall flight. Nest success, defined as a nest with at least one hatched duckling, is often less than 5 to 10% in many key breeding areas of the PPR. A hatch of 15 to 20% is required just to maintain current populations.

“Delta’s trappers focus on areas of the PPR with high waterfowl breeding density but low nest success,” said Joel Brice, Delta’s chief conservation officer. “By strategically managing predators in these areas, we increase the likelihood of more nests hatching.”

Raccoons and skunks are two primary duck nest predators on the prairie, species that were absent or scarce across most of the prairie before the 1950s. Today, these overly abundant predators can have devasting impacts on duck nests — research shows that up to 90 percent of failed nests are destroyed by predators.

“Targeting areas of the prairie with a predator/prey imbalance has proven to be a sound way to ensure more ducks will hatch each year,” Brice said. “This strategy is central to Delta’s mission of producing more ducks.”

Delta’s trappers, and more importantly, the returning ducks, face variable habitat conditions across the PPR. Late summer and fall rains in 2025 across the Dakotas kept many of the wetlands in good shape throughout the winter despite intermittent snowfall. Conditions in the Canadian provinces are mixed, with some areas still suffering drought, while other areas have better water to start nesting season.

“There’s a lot of variability in a vast place like the PPR,” Buxton said. “An area that’s dry today can be full of water in a matter of weeks. Spring rains can dramatically improve drought-stricken areas in time for returning waterfowl.”

To support and grow Delta’s capacity to produce ducks through effective Predator Management, the organization must recruit, train, and work closely with a team of professional trappers.

In April, Delta is hosting its first trapper training course, a comprehensive program designed for interested trappers to learn about essentials like safety, equipment, tactics, and lures. After attending the course, those prospective trappers will spend time afield with a member of Delta’s trapping team to gain eligibility for a contract in 2027.

“The ability to identify prospective trappers and train them well in advance provides us with a solid growth trajectory,” Buxton said. “This way, we’re expanding the impact of our Predator Management Program each year.”

TUO Creates Specialized Turkey Hunting Collection

Tuo

Utilizing the sovereign Verse™ pattern, this vetted collection is designed to shatter the human silhouette in unforgiving, low-cover environments. This isn’t just a gear list – it is a tactical system for the hunter who crawls, climbs, and out-maneuvers.

Kinetic Merino Hoodie System | The Foundation Next-to-skin performance is the heartbeat of the TUO system. The Kinetic Merino 250 Hoodie provides midweight, 250g thermal regulation for the freezing damp of early-season mornings, offering natural odor suppression and explosive stretch. As the thermal ceiling rises, the Kinetic Merino 150 Hoodie serves as the high-breathability foundation, managing moisture to keep the hunter focused when the season heats up.

Vision Hybrid Jacket | Zoned Thermal Control For early-season mornings where temperatures peak in the 40s, the Vision Hybrid Jacket is the specialized solution. By utilizing 80 grams of zoned insulation through the core while leaving high-movement areas uninsulated, TUO eliminates the bulk that plagues traditional turkey gear. The result is a dead-quiet, streamlined jacket that provides warmth without compromising the mechanics of the shot.

Aptitude Windproof Series | Core Shielding Wind is the enemy of both the turkey hunter’s ears and their core temperature. The Aptitude Vest is a high-authority layering piece designed to be worn over Kinetic Merino to neutralize spring gusts. For advanced protection against damp, windy conditions, the Aptitude Jacket expands on this platform. Both pieces feature a fully windproof laminate and extreme stretch, ensuring the hunter remains mobile whether they are pinned against a hardwood or making a move on a bird.

Clime Pant | All-Season Versatility

The Clime Pant is the definitive chassis for the mobile woodsman. Engineered for universal application, it features ventilated hip zips to dump heat during high-exertion stalks. In the early season, the anatomical cut allows for seamless layering over Kinetic Merino bottoms without sacrificing the range of motion required for crawling into position. In the turkey woods, the margin for error is nonexistent. By aggregating this specific collection, TUO has eliminated the guesswork of early-season layering, providing a system that thrives in the high-contrast, pre-foliage environments where traditional patterns fail. It is a tactical kit built for the hunter who views spring not as a casual outing, but as a technical pursuit requiring the same level of discipline and gear integrity as an alpine expedition.

ABOUT NEXUS OUTDOORS Nexus Outdoors, headquartered in Muskegon, MI, USA, is a leading worldwide designer, marketer and distributor of performance, hunting and casual odor-controlling apparel, footwear and equipment under the ScentLok Technologies®, OZ®, Blocker Outdoors®, TUO®, Hardcore Waterfowl, Whitewater, and Tree Spider® brands. Turkeys for Tomorrow Partners with Hunt Regulations App to Generate Treasure Trove of Wild Turkey Research Data

turkey

TFT, Hunt Regs, and the general public will work together to produce much-needed information for wild turkey research projects.

March 10, 2026 — Wild turkey populations continue to decline, and hunters around the globe are taking notice. Because of this, Turkeys for Tomorrow (TFT) is partnering with Hunt Regs to help generate much-needed data for wild turkey research. With help from the turkey hunting public, they aim to advance important wild turkey studies and restoration projects.

What Is the Hunt Regs App?

Hunt Regs is an app-based platform that assists with hunting regulation compliance. Through partnerships with state wildlife agencies and department of natural resources (DNRs), it’s educating hunters on even the most convoluted of hunting regs.

“I’m working with a lot of the state agencies,” said Hunt Regs Founder Ben Martin. “Take Georgia, for example. They expressed to me that 70% of the tickets they write are to people who didn’t even know they were breaking the rules. These were accidental, which is obviously a huge problem.”

“Of course, you can’t wake that deer or turkey back up if a mistake is made,” Martin continued. “And even if people are breaking those rules accidentally, that still needs fixing. The overarching goal? Make sure that it’s easy for people to understand the regulations. It’s hard enough to be successful and actually take an animal. Knowing the regulations should be the easiest part.”

Incredibly, Hunt Regulations provides a simplified regulation search. Ultimately, it sifts through vast hunting regulation guides and provides hunters with streamlined versions of relevant information. This includes license data, season dates, special regulations, potential restrictions, and much more, for your specific target animal in specific locations on specific dates.

For example, let’s say you’re standing on a spot of public ground or private ground. You need to know what, where, when, and how you can hunt. You merely use your georeferenced location to receive hunting license requirements, hunting regulation details, and more, for that exact geographic location. This is especially helpful for those who might hunt in areas with vast degrees of regulation differences over short distances. Even where hunting laws are more consistent and streamlined, it’s an effective and necessary tool.

Hunt Regs also incorporates a journal that analyzes and simplifies mountains of data. Simply plug in a location, date, and time of a wildlife sighting or trail camera photo event. It then gauges the historical weather data for that location and timestamp, and over time, produces valuable scouting reports. You can analyze specific data point categories, and see patterns for specific target bucks, with detailed yet palatable reports of deer movements.

“You can filter it by a bunch of different variables,” Martin said. “But it’s your data. It’s not using radio-collared deer studies from a big ranch. It’s specific to your deer herd, turkey flock, or waterfowl sightings at your hunting locations. Because human pressure really is the biggest element in how animals move, every animal has its own unique personality (tendencies), and localized data is far more valuable. So, you’re using your data from your specific animals to generate a pattern report.”

How Can Turkey Hunters Provide Voluntary Data for Wild Turkey Research?

Turkeys for Tomorrow CEO Jason Lupardus is excited to announce a new partnership with Hunt Regulations. It’s the foundation for the application of citizen science and procurement of much-needed data to study wild turkey population trends.

“This is a great partnership to help us solve the problem of wild turkey decline,” Lupardus said. “Through this, we’re garnering information from hunters across the United States. This is a means for us to engage in the true citizen science of anyone in the outdoors. So, if you’re a hunter, there is opportunity to provide data on wild turkeys in any state.”

In addition to benefitting wild turkey research, there are additional incentives for hunters to assist with data entries. Ultimately, TFT will offer special hunt drawings, and those who regularly enter information will be included in those.

Lupardus explains it like this — For example, maybe you’re out there in deer season and you see a flock of turkeys. You’ll jump in, enter in the information, and TFT puts you in for a chance at a fully guided Osceola turkey hunt in 2027. Or, if you’re out waterfowl hunting and flush some hens, and you enter that in, you’ll be entered in the drawing. Two weeks later, you’re out with your bird dog quail hunting. You see a couple gobblers on the knoll. You enter that in really quickly, and receive yet another chance to win a hunt.

Examples of information types that hunters might provide:

  • Wild turkey visual sightings
  • Wild turkey sounds heard
  • Numbers of adult turkeys
  • Numbers of poults
  • Sizes of winter flocks
  • Behavior of turkeys
  • And much more

“Each day that you enter data for us, we’ll give you a chance at hunts,” Lupardus said. “It’s our goal to figure out, on the landscape level, and across state lines, what turkey populations look like. Where do we have robust turkey populations? Where do we have weak populations?

All of this data is going to be used to help us in our research efforts,” Lupardus continued. “All so that we can put more time and priorities in places where we don’t have turkeys. In places where we do, it will help us understand how to maintain those levels over time. This will be the most robust data collection ever done by any entity since the advent of turkey restoration.”

Those among the general public hoping to participate will be able to submit information and help generate much-needed data for wild turkey research. Lupardus says this will be done through an application on your phone or through the web.

“I think we’re looking to save the wild turkey,” Martin said. “We’re taking more of a citizen science approach. We’re mobilizing hunters and landowners to get involved so we can better and more accurately gather and study wild turkey data.”

Turkey hunters aren’t unique in the caring for their target animal. However, they are unique in their willing to act. They go the extra mile, and when the call comes in, they answer it and exceed expectation. These hunters invest in and take ownership of conservation efforts.

Become Part of the Modern Wild Turkey Restoration Movement

Lupardus and Martin both understand the challenge of accruing the needed data for meaningful wild turkey research. This is especially true for private lands. This is even truer with the current data collection strategies implemented by most wildlife agencies in the Southeast, and parts of other regions.

“I’m a diehard turkey hunter,” Martin said. “I travel all over the place on public land to kill turkeys. And it’s been really sad to see areas that, even three or four years ago, were wide open with turkeys all over the place. There just aren’t as many birds today. So, we’re definitely invested in making this work.”

“It’s pretty innovative technology,” Lupardus said. “We’re providing a FREE one-year membership subscription (IOS; Android) to Hunt Regs if you’re a member of TFT. That’s a $29 value.”

“We have an online form on the website,” Martin noted. “We will also direct people to the form from the app, social channels, and via e-blasts. Submit the relevant input data and hit the submit button. Then, the data is shared with TFT for research. It’s very low friction. Fill out the form in 5 seconds and go.”

Support TFT: Wild turkey populations are on the decline throughout the nation. Established in 2021, TFT is new to the landscape, but it’s driven by highly trained professionals with decades of conservation experience. To support TFT, and the complete body of wild turkey research and conservation it’s leading, become a member today. An Adult Annual Membership is $50, multi-year Team Turkey Membership is $250, and Life Membership is $2,500. Every dollar counts in the fight for wild turkey preservation.
