The new ranking at 736,769 was calculated by Alexa Internet, a web traffic-analysis company that is a wholly owned subsidiary of Amazon. For context, there are well over 1 billion sites on the world wide web, according to Netcraft’s January 2021 Web Server Survey.
By comparison, the web sites of comparable magazines in the wingshooting and fine sporting-life segment were ranked significantly lower by Alexa from almost 2.3 million to 6 million in terms of global Internet engagement.
“We started Shotgun Life 14 years ago with the vision of promoting our upland lifestyle to the world at large strictly via the Internet,” said Irwin Greenstein, Publisher of Shotgun Life. “With nearly 900 stories indexed by Shotgun Life’s advanced SEO platform, our number-one readership source continues to be Google – putting our editorial and purchasing power only one click away from the products, destinations and services we write about and promote.”
The current breakthrough follows Shotgun Life’s 2020 performance of surpassing 10 million pageviews and 6.5 million visits from readers of both the magazine and companion opt-in e-letters during the 2020 calendar year. Significantly, 64% of those readers access Shotgun Life from mobile devices.
As a free advertiser-supported publication, Shotgun Life delivered 18.2 million banner-ad impressions plus 5.1 million advertising impressions from the Shotgun Life e-letters for a total of 23.3 million total advertising impressions served to readers. Advertiser-supported, Shotgun Life is free on the Internet. Shotgun Life is based in Thomasville, Georgia.
