It takes a special kind of genius to fit a guy with a ladies’ shotgun, teach him a new clays-shooting technique and then get him out on the course to start smashing targets all within the span of 90 minutes.

MEMPHIS, Tennessee – June 22, 2020 – The new 2020-2021 federal duck stamp goes on sale Friday, June 26. The stamps, which cost $25, are valid from July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2021.
Purchased by millions of waterfowl hunters, wildlife enthusiasts and stamp collectors every year, duck stamps purchases provide critical funding to purchase and protect wetlands and associated habitat for ducks, geese and other wildlife species.
Spring weather makes every dog trainer and handler smile. Low temperatures, occasional rain, and breezy winds bring dogs alive. Conditioning is regular, scenting conditions are good, and it’s a time when regular progress is made. If only we could roll right into hunting season…
But summer is in between, and the hot, dry temperatures and bright, cloudless skies threaten to undo all of our hard work. Keeping your pup safe in the heat is the first order of the day, and continuing to build on their foundation is the key to a successful fall. Here’s how some pros handle the heat.
U.S.A. -(AmmoLand.com)- Duck and goose hunting entered a deadly new age with the introduction of Black Cloud TSS. Now hunters can get that same performance in a new 20-gauge load that blends No. 3 FLITESTOPPER Steel with No. 9 18 g/cc Tungsten Super Shot. Shipments of this new product have begun to arrive at dealers.
A full 56 percent denser than lead and more than double the density of steel, TSS pellets maintain velocity farther, hit harder and penetrate deeper than any waterfowl payload ever has. The swarm of shot leaves no chance for escape with the FLITECONTROL FLEX wad, which opens from the rear for a controlled release of the payload and the deadliest, most consistent patterns.
Ready for the Most Demanding Hunts: Savage Arms RENEGAUGE Waterfowl
WESTFIELD, Massachusetts –– Waterfowl hunters face demanding conditions. Savage Arms has risen to this challenge with their new 12 gauge: Renegauge Waterfowl. This semi-automatic sets a new standard for the fit and function of a hunting shotgun and is finished in Mossy Oak Shadow Grass Blades camo.
“The Renegauge Waterfowl is proof of Savage’s commitment to American sportsmen and women,” Jessica Treglia, Sr. Brand Manager at Savage Arms, said. “We’ve been working on the gun for several years, making sure every aspect worked efficiently and reliably. Wingshooters go through hell to get the perfect shot, and these new Savages will deliver.”
Ask a buddy which inertia-action semi-auto to buy and chances are they’ll recommend a Benelli. The Italian manufacturer has come to dominate mind-share for the gasless shotguns, with models that start at $1,349 – more than double of what CZ’s first inertia semi-auto will cost you.
Although there are a few inertia semi-auto shotguns that cost around $600, CZ brings to the marketplace name recognition, reliability, a national dealer network and its renowned value proposition as evident with a starting price of $518.00 for the CZ 1012.
BISMARCK, NORTH DAKOTA — Delta Waterfowl’s Working Wetlands — an innovative, incentive-based wetland conservation program with the potential to support the breeding efforts of 1.8 million ducks — opens enrollment this week as the Prairie Pothole Water Quality and Wildlife Program in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa and Montana. The rollout, administered by the USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service, results from Delta’s successful inclusion of Working Wetlands language in the 2018 U.S. Farm Bill.
We climbed the narrow staircase from the bustling reception area of the West London Shooting School to the Stanbury Restaurant, where Kevin Phillips is at a table waiting for us.
It’s apparent that the waitress knows Mr. Phillips quite well. As Owner and Director of Sportarm, named the Best UK Gun Room for an unprecedented six times at the Shooting Industry Awards, he’s been working late into the night on the finishing touches of his third Sportarm in the adjacent old brick store. Christmas is 27 days away.
Kansas City, KS -(AmmoLand.com)- There was a time when a 16-gauge shotgun was the top choice for knowledgeable upland hunters and recreational shooters.
The last decade has seen a resurgence in this do-it-all shotgun chambering, and for 2020 CZ-USA now offers their flagship Redhead Premier Over-and-Under in the venerable 16-gauge.
U.S.A. -(AmmoLand.com)- The wait is over. The new Winchester1 AA1 Diamond Grade1 premier shotshell target load is now shipping to a store or sporting clay course near you. With four different varieties to choose from, this new shotshell is the ultimate in quality and performance.
