Once you know where you’re going to break the target, it’s time to address the field from the stand. It is important to put your feet in the correct position in relation to the breakpoint so you will be in balance with it. Point your left foot (right foot for lefties) just to the right of the breakpoint you’ve picked. The other foot should never be parallel to the front foot, but should be placed to the side and at an angle. It should not be a 90-degree angle, but slightly less, maybe 65 to 70 degrees. If you’re not good at geometry, just hold your hand out in front of your crotch, palm toward the ground, with your fingers and your thumb neither spread completely out nor held tight. Now match the angle the outside of your hand makes.
