Lots of people say a sporting clays gun should shoot ā??flatā? or with 50 percent of the pattern above the bird and 50 percent below. I couldnā??t disagree more. I want my gun to pattern slightly high so I can see the bird above the barrel. A ā??flatā? gun forces the shooter to cover up some rising targets, and thatā??s never a good thing.
